Law Community Trust’s priorities are
To provide interest, stimulation, entertainment and education.
To promote civic pride and enhance the image and identity of Law Village.
To provide the opportunity for the enhancement of people skills.
To provide economic benefits by promoting the village and the area image.
To assist in the attraction of jobs as well as promoting the area as a destination for tourists.
To provide an opportunity for social contact and interaction.
To provide a range of events and activities and help to encourage participation.
The Main Objectives
Is to put together a programme of fund raising to sustain the development programme.
To back up local fund raising efforts, funding will also be sought from
external agencies.
The members of Law Community Trust accept that their plans are ambitious and will take a numbers of years to realise but hope to do this through commitment and hard work.

New Law Community Hub Facility
Projects the “Trust” have undertaking:
A feasibility study into the need of a New “Community Hub” consultation’s and sketch drawings of the proposed New Community Hub (completed)
Community seating and landscaping throughout the village, commencing 22nd June 2009
Five new Community benches purchased one bench installed at Law Cross and two at Law Primary School, another two installed within the Landscaping at
Muir Street/Station Road, Law. Completed
New Play Park Equipment installation completed 23/04/2010
The first success of Law Community Trust was that of the Christmas Lights in 2005.
In 2004 South Lanarkshire Council were approached by Law Community Trust and
agreed to put up nine Christmas Lights. The “Trust” felt that this was a good start but just that a start.
A short and very successful campaign raised over £1750 to purchase a further five new Christmas Lights for the village at a cost of £350 per unit.
This brings us up to a total of fourteen Christmas Lights Units.
The maximum allowed by South Lanarkshire Council on the grounds of power and maintenance cost’s.
